1960 Leaf Baseball Cards

The 1960 Leaf Baseball Card Set consists of 144 simple black & white cards that measure 2½” by 3½”. This was Leaf's first set of baseball cards since 1949 and came with a marble instead of bubble gum, in order to not violate Topps exclusive right to market baseball cards with confectioneries. The 1960 Leaf baseball cards were issued in two series, with the second series (73-144) being much harder to find.
The 1960 Leaf Baseball Card Set also includes eight very scarce Big-Head or Large Portrait Variation cards. These cards feature a larger, unique portrait of the player that were issued as proofs to promote the set.
