1981-82 Topps Basketball Cards
The 1981-82 Topps Basketball Card Set contains a grand total of 198 cards, which were issued in regional issues, as well as a National issue. The National issue was 66 cards, and was distributed across the country, while there were three other regional issues of 44 cards each which allowed kids from the Midwest, the East, and the West to each get different cards. The first 66 cards are the same, with the last 44 cards being unique to where a collector of the day lived.
Distributing cards this way was meant to speak chatter among collectors to get them to trade and acquire cards from the other 2 regions. Due to this most collectors were only able to acquire a set of 110 cards, so a set is complete with that many.
