1951 Bowman Jets Rockets and Spacemen
The 1951 Bowman Jets, Rockets, and Spacemen Set (R701-13) contains 108 beautifully colored cards and depicts futuristic scenes of space adventure and exploration. The set was originally supposed to contain 180 cards, but the artwork for #'s 108-180 was somehow lost by the Bowman Gum Company. The cards measure 2 1/16" x 3 1/8" and were printed in three groups of 36, with the middle series being the most difficult to obtain.
