1957 Topps Planes
With the Cold War escalating and jet-powered planes still in their infancy, America's boys were fascinated with the colorful, fact-filled 1957 Topps Planes trading cards. The set was issued in two series of 60 cards each, with the second series issues in smaller numbers. Card #9 tends to be particularly scarce. The 1957 Topps Planes set was also issued with both Blue and Red backs, with the Red Back cards being harder to locate.
