The 1954 Wilson Franks Baseball Card Set consists of 20 cards, each measuring 2-5/8" x 3-3/4" and they have a similar look to the 1954 Topps set. These cards are among the most popular and scarcest Midwest regional baseball card sets issued with hot dogs during the 1950s. The front of every card features a color-added photo with a brightly colored background, plus the player's name, position and team, and the Wilson Franks product logo all surrounded by a small white border. Personal information, a career summary, and 1953 and career statistics are printed on the back.
The 1954 Wilson Franks Baseball Card Set includes many 1950s stars, and the Ted Williams card is the most expensive. Since the cards were packaged in direct contact with the meat, many of the cards have grease stains.
