1958 Hires Root Beer
The 1958 Hires Root Beer Baseball Card Set contains 66 cards, measuring either 2 5/16" by 3 1/2" without tabs, or 2 5/16" by 7" with tabs. Cards from this set were originally distributed with tabs wanting the young collector to "Join the Hires Baseball Club", and as many people took these tabs off to do just that, cards with tabs still attached are harder to find.
The 1958 Hires Root Beer Baseball Card Set features some key players such as Pee Wee Reese, Willie Mays, Hank Aaron, and Don Drysdale, just to name a few. The numbering system for this set is a bit unusual as it starts at card #10 and doesn't include a #69.
