Founded by the legendary Paul Brown in 1968, the Cincinnati Bengals were the last expansion team of the old American Football League. These Cincinnati Bengals Teams Sets feature some of the great and often over-looked Bengals teams of the 1970s. The Cincinnati Bengals could have been one of the great teams of the 1970s, except they played in the same divison as the Steelers - the best team of the decade.
If the Bengals could have made it past the Steelers and won a couple Super Bowls, it is quite probable that we would seen players like Ken Anderson, Issac Curtis, Bob Johnson, Lemar Parrish, Ken Riley, Mike Reid and Bill Bergey in the NFL Hall-of-Fame. It was not meant to be.
