1948 R346 Blue Tint Baseball Cards
The 1948 R346 Blue Tint Baseball Card set consists of 48 handcut cards. These cards were originally printed on sheets that contained 8 cards each. Once handcut, the measurement of each card is approximately 2" by 2 5/8". This 48 card set is printed primarily using blue ink, but were also printed using black ink only on cards #25 through #48.
The key star cards in the 1948 R346 Blue Tint Baseball Card set are #36 Jackie Robinson RC, #16 Joe DiMaggio, #20 Warren Spahn RC, #29 Lou Gehrig, and #44 Ted Williams. A total of 15 Hall-of-Fame players appear in the set.
In addition to the popularity of the key star cards, several cards collectors may not expect have significant value from the set. Exact distribution is not known, but it appears several cards #25-48 may have been short printed or are just simply harder to find. The 1948 R346 Blue Tint Baseball Card set is very condition sensitive with few cards protected from the era and likely many lesser known stars simply tossed aside adding to their current value.
