The 1953 Glendale Hot Dogs Baseball Card Set contains 28 blank-back cards measuring 2 5/8" by 3 3/4". Distributed by Glendale Meats, these full color cards feature only players from the Detroit Tigers. The backs of the cards showcase statistics about the player, as well as an advertisement for a promotion being offered by Glendale Meats in which collectors could win a trip to the World Series if they collected enough of these cards.
The short-printed, Art Houtteman is the most difficult card in this set to acquire, and cards in this set are very condition sensitive due to the nature of being packaged with hot dogs.
