1936 American G-Men (R13-1)
The 1936 American G-Men Set (R13-1) contains 48 cards that start at number 101, and is the first of two series. It is unclear to history who issued this "anonymous" cards. The 1936 American G-Men cards are horizontal and feature a colorful scene involving criminals with a slogan that reads, "Crime does not pay" at the top of the card. The back of the cards feature a very lengthy description of the scene pictured on the front of the card.
The 1936 American G-Men set differs from the second series in the orientation of the card's front, as well as the card numbers.
