The 1953 Stahl-Meyer Franks baseball card set contains 9 cards, with three players from each New York Team. Each card measures 3 1/4" by 4 1/2", and has a color photo of each player against a bright pastel colored background, with their name and autograph displayed below. This small set is anchored by Mickey Mantle, but contains a large number of Hall of Famers for such a small set.
Due to the regional distribution of this set by the New York area meat company, cards from this set are hard to come by. Grading these cards can also be hard due to their rounded corner design, as well as the fact that they were packed with meat products.
