1962 Topps Baseball Cards
The 1962 Topps Baseball Card Set features 598 standard size cards, each measuring 2½" by 3½". With their distinctive wood grain borders, the 1962 Topps cards tend to damage easily, making them expensive in the very high grades. The subsets for the 1962 Topps Set are: League Leaders (51-60), the Babe Ruth Series (135-144), World Series Highlights (232-237), In Action (311-319), All-Stars (466-475), and Rookie Parade (591-598).
This 1962 Topps baseball card set is loaded with variations, most of which are the "Green Tint" cards ranging from #110 to #196. The 1962 Topps high number series (523-598) can be very difficult to complete, especially with the short-prints and multi-teamed Rookie Parade Cards. The key 1962 Topps rookie cards are: #199 Gaylord Perry and #387 Lou Brock.
Grading Note: If a card has a thick or prominent border line, it is considered a minor flaw and has a penalty of 1 grade. Thin border lines do not lower the card's grade.
