1980-81 O-Pee-Chee
The 1980-81 O-Pee-Chee hockey card set consists of 396 standard sized cards, compared to only 264 cards in the 1980-81 Topps set.. Featuring player information in both English and French, the 1980-81 OPC hockey cards contain the players' name and position inside a hockey puck. Near identical to the 1980 Topps cards in design, the puck on the 1980 O-Pee-Chee cards was not covered by a black disc, that needed to be scratched off, in order to see the player's name.
The subsets are: Record Breakers (1-5), All-Star selections (81-92), and League Leaders (161-168). The key rookie cards in 1980-81 O-Pee-Chee set include #140 Ray Bourque, #195 Mike Gartner, and #289 Mark Messier.
