1981-82 O-Pee-Chee
The 1981-82 O-Pee-Chee Hockey card set includes bilingual 396 cards, printed in three series. The 1981-82 O-Pee-Chee cards are similar in design to the Topps cards of the same year, with exception that the Topps set contained only 265 cards. Both sets are unique in that the player's name in hidden behind a black "scratch-off" puck, that could be removed with a coin.
The subsets for the 1981-82 O-Pee-Chee Hockey cards are the checklists (379-381), league leaders (382-389), and record breakers (392-395). The key rookie cards in this set include: #63 Denis Savard, #107 Jari Kurri, #108 Glenn Anderson, #111 Paul Coffey, #148 Larry Murphy, and #269 Peter Stasny.
Note: 1981-82 O-Pee-Chee Hockey cards with the black scratch-off disk removed can receive no higher than a "Very Good - 3" grade from Dean's Cards.
