This 1955 Bowman Low Number Complete Set contains the first 224 cards of the 320 card set.  The 1955 Bowman baseball cards measure 2½", by approximately 3¾", but due to lax production standards, the width of the cards can vary by as much 1/4".  Easily recognized by the television set framing each player's color photograph, the 1955 Bowman set was the last baseball card set issued by the Bowman Gum Company.   

The expensive 1955 Bowman High Numbered Series, which includes cards #225 through #320, is NOT included.  This 1955 Bowman Low Number Complete Set gives the collector the majority of the cards, and most of the stars, for a fraction of the cost of a complete set. Of the 25 Hall-of-Famers in 1955 Bowman set, only 3 are in the excluded series: #242 Ernie Banks, #308 the manager cards of Al Lopez and #315 Umpire Cal Hubbard.
