The franchise began in Boston in 1876 as the Boston Red Stockings but became known as the Beaneaters, Doves, and Rustlers until finally changing their name to the Braves in 1912. The relocated twice: to Milwaukee in 1953 and then to Atlanta in 1966 where they remain today. The Braves won three World Series titles, one in each city: 1914 (Boston), 1957 (Milwaukee), and 1995 (Atlanta).
