This 1941 Uncle Sam / Home Defense Low Number Set consists of cards #1-120. The Uncle Sam subset is made up of cards numbered #1-96, while the Home Defense subset consists of cards 97-120.  The complete Home Defense set consists of cards 97-144, the second half however, is nearly impossible to collect or complete.    Gum, Inc issued the Uncle Sam Series in 1941.  The Uncle Sam portion of the set focuses on the four branches of the military: The Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marines.

By the time that the Home Defense subset of cards was issued, America had entered into the War, which ultimately halted production of these cards, and explains why the last 24 cards are particularly scarce.  Nonetheless, the Home Defense cards portray civilians taking precautionary measures in terms of protecting themselves from attacks here in the U.S.
