This 1948 Bowman Almost Complete Set contains the majority of the 48 black-and-white cards in the set and measure 2 1/16" by 2" in size. This was Bowman's first attempt at a national issue, after the war and it has some interesting curiosities. Over a half of the 1948 Bowman Baseball cards feature players from one of the New York area based teams, and since it was the first set issued in seven years, every card is a rookie card.
