1940s Baseball Card Complete Sets
The nationally issued baseball card sets of the 1940s came both at the beginning and the end of the decade. Play Ball issued sets from 1939 to 1941, with the card design improving with each new issue. Unfortunately, the evolution was interrupted by World War II. There was not a nationally issued baseball card set issued again until 1948, when both Bowman and Leaf issued baseball cards again.
Each of these sets was built from the Dean's Cards inventory of over one million cards, using a set building software that we developed in-house. These sets contain scans of each card in the set. If you do not see the exact set that you want, please contact us at 513.898.0651 and we can build a set to your specifications within minutes and let you view the cards online. No other dealer can make this claim!
