This is a 1969 Topps Deckle Edge Complete Premier Set, which means that this set contains the highest grade of each card that we have available in our million card inventory.
This 1969 Topps Deckle Edge Complete Set contains 33 cards black-and-white photos of star players, with Classic "deckled" cut edges and inserted into the 3rd Series 1969 Topps Wax Packs. The 1969 Topps Deckle Edge Set was designed to have each team represented by at least one player, but the trades of Rusty Staub and Hoyt Wilhelm, left the Royals and Astros unrepresented. This resulted in the set's two variations, as Topps issued two more cards, bringing the master set to 35 cards.
Wilhelm, was replaced as card #11 by the Astros Jimmy Wynn, and Joe Foy of the Royals, replaced Rusty Staub as card #22. The Wynn and Foy cards were produced in smaller quantities and these short-printed cards are not considered as part of standard 1969 Topps Deckle Edge Complete Set and are not included.
