1947 D323 Tip Top Bread Baseball Cards
The 1947 Tip Top Bread Baseball Card set includes 165 unnumbered cards, each measuring 2 ¼” by 3”. The black & white cards feature players from 11 major-league teams and were issued regionally - with players from the Cubs, Red Sox, Tigers and White Sox - having the lowest populations.
The 1947 Tip Top Bread set consists of players from the talent-lean WWII seasons. Some key Hall-of-Famers are: Yogi Berra, Johnny Mize, Phil Rizzuto and Warren Spahn, who appear in this set prior to their official Bowman rookie cards. The easiest ways to tell the original 1947 Tip Top Bread cards, from their reprints - is by the loaf of bread featured on the back of the card. The loaf on the reprints is fuzzy.
