2000s Baseball Cards
By the 2000s the baseball card companies refined their offerings and cards became much more consistent in quality. Competition for profits grew fierce as the remaining companies produced novelty cards to differentiate themselves from the competition.
The weaker card makers faded away as the decade progressed. The decade ended with Upper Deck unplugging its rinting presses and closing its doors. Only Topps remained.
