The Hawks franchise began in 1949 as the Tri-Cities Blackhawks (Moline, Illinois) and later made a pit stop in Milwaukee for the 1951-1954 seasons, but was not depicted on a basketball card until the St. Louis Hawks (1955-1967) were included in 1957-58 Topps Basketball, and then again in 1961-62 Fleer Basketball. The team eventually moved to Atlanta, becoming the Atlanta Hawks from 1968 to present day.
