1909 E92 Dockman & Sons Baseball Cards
The 1909 Dockman & Sons E92 baseball card set consists of 40 unnumbered cards that measure 1½" by 2¾". Similar E92 sets were also released by Nadja Caramel Company, Croft's & Allen's Candy Company, and Croft's Cocoa Company, the E92 Dockman & Sons baseball cards have a short summary of the set and the manufacturer's information on the back, with reads "Base Ball Gum. This card is one of a set of 50 Base Ball Players", even though there are only 40 cards. Evidently the Dockman & Sons company chose to leave out 10 cards, one of which was Ty Cobb.
The 10 Hall-of-Famers included in the 1909 Dockman & Sons E92
baseball card set are: Chief Bender, Frank Chance, Sam Crawford, Hughie
Jennings, Nap Lajoie, Christy Mathewson, John McGraw, Joe Tinker, Honus Wagner
and Cy Young.
