1912 T227 Series of Champions
The 1912 T227 Series of Champions is a multi-sport set containing 25 unnumbered cards. There are four T227 cards of baseball players and five of boxers, all of which are now in the Hall of Fame. The T227 cards measure 2-5/16" x 3-3/8" and feature color player images with white borders. Several of the T227 Series of Champions cards, such as Cal Rodgers and Bruce Brown, were printed in such low numbers, that is makes the set nearly impossible to complete.
The backs of the T227 Champions cards contain Advertisements for either Miners Extra or Honest Long Cut tobacco which seem to be equally common. The most popular of the 1912 T227 Champions cards include: Home Run Baker, Ty Cobb and boxer Jack Johnson.
