1912 T207 Brown Backgrounds

The T207 Brown Backgrounds baseball card set was issued in 1912 and consists of 200 unnumbered cards, plus several variations, that are 1½" by 2-5/8" in size. The T207 cards were the last issued by American Tobacco Co. and feature a unique image of the player, set on a distinctive brown background, framed by a gray border. The back of the T207 cards have the player's biography and one of 8 different tobacco product logos. The T207 cards with advertisements for Recruit Little Cigars, Napoleon or Hassan are considered common. Cards with Cycle or Broad Leaf backs are scarce, while cards with Red Cross backs are rarely ever found.
The T207 cards of Irving Lewis, Lewis Lowdermilk, Ward Miller, Vic Saier and Lefty Tyler were short-printed and very scarce., making the T207 set is one of the toughest and most expensive to complete. For this reason, we created a T207 Reprint Set and now the masses can enjoy these great cards.
