1972 Topps Football Cards
The 1972 Topps Football Card Set includes 351 standard size cards. There are three subsets, League Leaders (1-8), 1971 Playoff Highlights (133-139) and All-Pros (264-287), which allows the 1972 Topps Football Set to feature 84 cards that contain Hall-of-Fame players. Eight of which make their appearance on Rookie Cards. These include:#13 John Riggins, #93 Ted Hendricks, #186 Gene Upshaw, #200 Roger Staubach, and #240 Larry Little.
The 1972 Topps 3rd Series of high number cards (264-351) were issued in such small numbers, that they make up about 90% of the set's value. Most of the Series 3 cards were not released to the public until years later and are still in "pack fresh" condition. This makes the "Low Number" Set an attractive option to collectors.
