1974 Topps Baseball Cards
The 1974 Topps Baseball Card Set was the first to be released as a factory set. The set includes 660 cards, measuring 2½" by 3½" and has the following subsets: Hank Aaron Career Cards (1-6), League Leaders (201-208), All-Stars (331-339), Playoff Highlights (470-471), World Series Highlights (472-479), and Rookie Stars (596-608).
Inserted in the 1974 Topps baseball card wax packs were Traded and Red Team Checklist cards. While not officially part of the 1974 standard set, these two insert sets make a nice addition to the standard set. The most interesting variation cards are that of 15 Padres players that list their team as " Washington Nat'l Lea." They also have identical cards with San Diego Padres as the team.
The key 1974 Topps rookie card is #456 Dave Winfield.
