Darrelle Revis
Darrelle Shavar Revis (born July 14, 1985) is an American football cornerback for the New York Jets of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the University of Pittsburgh, and was drafted in the first round (14th overall) by the Jets in the 2007 NFL Draft. He has also played for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and New England Patriots.
His spot on the field is nicknamed "Revis Island", a phrase Revis has trademarked, for his ability to shut down the opposing number one receivers. He is considered by most to be the best cornerback in the NFL.
Revis made his first Super Bowl appearance in Super Bowl XLIX on February 1, 2015. The Patriots defeated the Seattle Seahawks 28-24, bringing Revis his first Super Bowl championship ring.
