1912 T207 Scarce Back Baseball Cards
The T207 Baseball Card Set has 200 unnumbered cards, each measuring approximately 1½" by 2-5/8". The T207
baseball cards were printed
by the American Tobacco Company in 1912, and is sometimes referred to
as the "Brown Background" Set.
The back of the T207
cards have the player's bio and one of 8 possible product
logos. The T207 cards with Broadleaf and Red Cycle ads on the back
are considered scarce, and T207 cards with Red Cross backs are nearly impossible to
find. The T207 cards of Irving
Lewis, Lewis Lowdermilk, Ward Miller, Vic Saier and Lefty Tyler were printed in
smaller quantities and are extremely difficult to find in any back.
The T207 baseball card set has 13 players that were inducted into Baseball's Hall-of-Fame. A few are: Chief Bender, Roger Bresnahan, Frank Chance, Harry Hooper, Walter Johnson, Rube Marquard, John McGraw, Tris Speaker & Zach Wheat.
