1982 Topps Baseball Cards
The 1982 Topps Baseball Card Set consists of 792 standard size cards that measure 2½" by 3½". Commonly referred to by collectors as the "hockey stick" set, the 1982 Topps Baseball Card Set features the very unique design of colored lines stretching down the left side of the card ending with the players basic information. Faux autographs were brought back after being removed from the 1981 base set. The subsets for the 1982 Topps Baseball Cards include highlights from the 1981 season (1-6), League Leaders (161-168), American League All-stars (547-557), and National League All-stars (337-347). Many of the star players are also featured on two base cards. The first card is considered the player's standard or base card with the next card number in the set featuring an "In Action" (IA) pose of the player.
The key rookie card in the 1982 Topps Baseball Card Set is card #21, Hall-of-Famer Cal Ripken Jr. multi-player card. The set is also loaded with tons of superstars and future Hall-of-Famers.
