Roberto Clemente Baseball Cards

Roberto Clemente baseball cards continue to be among the most popular baseball cards sold at Dean's Cards, and the 1955 Topps Roberto Clemente rookie card continues to grow in value. Clemente's tragic death on a relief flight to Nicaragua on December 31, 1972 ended his career with exactly 3000 hits.
Clemente was the first Latin-American baseball superstar and the first Latin-American in the Baseball Hall of Fame. Clemente played 18 seasons for the Pittsburgh Pirates from 1955 through 1972. He was National League Most Valuable Player once, an All-Star 12 times, a batting champion four times, and Gold Glove winner twelve times.
